OJ and entitlement

Growing up, I would have never understood this because murder seems so more heinious than theft. But now that I've had some education, it's clear that this cartoon is exactly correct.

systematic corruption

I think it's important to remember that no one is immune from corruption. We all have a price and it's crucial to have a group of confidants, friends, family, to help keep a person honest.

Politics you will find illegal behavior on both sides of the aisle.

But for the last 20 years or so, the republicans have become a systematically corrupt institution. They've taken corruption to a level of subversion.

Consider the following:

Does it seem like there's a new Republican scandal in the news every single week? Well, that may be because there is:

January 23, 2007: Republican radio personality Scott Eller Cortelyou of Denver arrested on suspicion of using the Internet to lure a child into a sexual relationship

January 29, 2007: Republican former Jefferson County, Colorado, Treasurer Mark Paschall indicted on two felony charges "in connection with an allegation that Paschall solicited a kickback from a bonus he awarded one of his employees"...

republican perverts, at it again..

Not that being gay is perverted, but trying to hook up with someone in an international airport, at noon, in the bathroom, while on the toilet, is!

I can't remember which republican scandal it was that I realized perverts tend to be found on the GOoP'ers--there's been so many (craig, vitter, foley, who am I forgetting?)

Oh, here are some lists:

This isn't to say that there are no perverts in the democrats, but I haven't been able to find such a list. The point to take from this is that there seems to be a systematic factor that draws perverts to the republican party. And this isn't to say all republicans are perverts--certainly not.

but how does one account for this discrepancy between the two parties? either the discrepancy doesn't exist because there simply is no list of actual democratic perverts, or this list is meaningful.

maybe it's the tendency of more republicans to objectify people? or their ability to compartmentalize their humanity?

beware of the conservative media bias

Thankfully, the Dems are not debating in any forum that includes fox news propagandists.

Fox news would have mindless viewers believe that it's out of fear. But mindful viewers, on the other hand, understand why Democratic contenders should eschew Faux news. It's because Fox news distorts reality.

the Daily Background gets it right correct:

This is not a matter of Democrats being afraid to debate on Fox News– that’s just the Fox spin. This is a matter of Democratic candidates refusing- boycotting a network which claims to be unbiased but exists to trash Democrats in unfair ways, lie, and spread inaccurate partisan attacks on anybody who isn’t conservative.
